Stayed here for two nights for a nearby wedding. Our stay was perfect from the moment we got there to the moment we left. The room was lovely, evening meal and breakfast was delicious. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. We will definitely stay again. Thank you.
Had lunch at this wonderful hotel/restaurant with our 2 friends.Decor superb, service wonderful and the food was excellent.Very good value for money and would heartily recommend you visit for lunch or dinner.Worth every one of the 5 stars.
Popped in for breakfast. Friendly staff. Nice and warm on a freezing day. Excellent espresso with yummy biscuits, delicious eggs florentine for me plus salmon and scrambled egg for my wife. A few locals also in there enjoying a quiet breakfast too.
The food and service were amazing. The attention to detail when taking my more complex order was spot on. The sort of place you just want to bring everyone you know, as it’s that good! PS they surprised my wife with a firework ice cream dessert with a gift voucher on the house. We’re already planning my next visit.
A lovely hotel for both business and recreation in my view. Well appointed rooms with lovely fluffy towels. Delicious food in the restaurant. A wonderful breakfast which set me up well for the day ahead and kept me full all day. Polite and helpful staff I would recommend this hotel.
Stayed at The JD Young Hotel in Harleston for New Year’s Eve 2025 and had a great experience. The room was very aesthetically pleasing with a lovely view, with complimentary water and delicious shortbread in the room which was a nice touch. The staff were accommodating and friendly, and Beth the GM remembering me from a brunch back at the end of November made the service feel personal. The food was excellent, and breakfast the next morning before checkout was outstanding easily one of the best I’ve had, with rustic bread and really good quality ingredients. I stayed to enjoy DJ Stealth’s New Year’s set and he delivered a brilliant mix of Motown, drum and bass, garage, and party classics that kept the atmosphere buzzing not to imagine the amazing lights, sound effects, smoke machine and confetti cannons. Would definitely recommend and would happily stay again, especially if DJ Stealth is playing.
What an amazing hotel. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very clean. The staff are very welcoming and friendly, check in was quick and the food and drink selection is amazing and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend the banoffee pie for pudding. The pub atmosphere in the evening was very friendly, welcoming and felt very homely. The onsite carpark was close to check in and access to the rooms so we didn’t have to carry our bags very far. All amenities are very accessible from the rooms. We had a lovely stay and will definitely be coming again.
Lovely overnight stay at JD Young Hotel, everything was so very nice. Warm welcome, our double room (9) was a little on the small side but perfect for our stay and the Air conditioning was refreshing, it was very clean. We dined in the Hotel Restaurant and had one of the best meals for a long time so would highly recommend. We slept well. At Breakfast there was a good choice and was good quality. Would definitely stay again.
